Dr. Sarker is the CEO and CTO of Waste Technologies, LLC (WTL) since 2013 and he is the sole owner of the company. WTL has been working on any waste turning into green fuel especially building 1st commercialization facility in Bridgeport, CT on Waste Plastic to Low Sulfur Diesel (Patent # US 8,927,797 B2) and he has 5 more patent is pending stage since 2011. In addition he is the owner of couple of other companies such as Sheba Construction LLC and Sheba Magic Touch LLC, Sheba Green Technologies LLC, Sheba Enterprises LLC and Sheba Landscaping and Design LLC, etc. He has entrepreneurship and creating green jobs in local communities. He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), Manchester, UK. He also has a Masters and a Bachelors degree, both in Chemistry, from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh.

Dr. Sarker is the inventor of the technology and product entitles: “Method for converting waste plastics to lower – molecular weight hydrocarbons, particularly hydrocarbon fuel materials and the hydrocarbon material produced thereby.” (Patent # US 8,927,797 B2). He has more 115 research publications and written 6 books including chapters. He is a Chief, Full Editor, Co-Editors, Associate Editors and Reviewers in more than 100 peer review journals in around the globe. He is a distinguished member of the more than 40 organization or associations such as, Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), UK, American Chemical Society (ACS), American Physical Society (APS), American Institute of Chemical Engineering (AIChE), International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC), Canadian Society for Chemistry (CSC), Chemical Institute of Canada (CIC), American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE), Cleantech Forum International, Connecticut Technology Council, Alliance for Clean Energy of New York (ACENY), Society of Automobile Engineering (SAE) International, Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE), Vermont Renewable Energy, Sierra Club, Greenpeace International, Bangladesh Chemical Society (Life Member), Dhaka, Bangladesh and many more. Claudia Crestini is associate professor at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. Director of the Laboratory of Polyphenols Chemistry & Materials Science (http://polyphenols.weebly.com), her work is internationnally recognized as a leading contribution to Green Chemistry using natural polyphenols.

Claudia has focused on the development of new methods of structural analysis of polyphenolic polymers, development of new materials and products by chemical/biotechnological modification and development of innovative stimuli responsive nanomaterials from natural polyphenols. She has published more than 140 publications on international refereed journals and over 150 contributions to international conferences and invited presentations. H-index 41, citations > 5000 (source google scholar).

Dr. Dimitris Argyropoulos, Professor of Chemistry at North Carolina State University, is internationally recognized for his leading contributions to Green Chemistry using wood biopolymers. His work focuses at promoting our understanding of the structure and reactivity of lignin and the development novel NMR and material science techniques for the structural elucidation and the upgrading of these biopolymers representing otherwise unsolved, intractable problems in lignin based material’s chemistry. The efforts of his research group have been disseminated in excess of 200 scientific papers, numerous scientific conferences and invited presentations.

His research interests focuses at promoting our understanding of the structure and reactivity of lignin and the development novel NMR and material science techniques for the structural elucidation and the upgrading of these biopolymers representing otherwise unsolved, intractable problems in lignin based material’s chemistry.

Paul O’ Connor graduated at the Eindhoven University of Technology in Chemical Engineering in 1977. He has been active in heavy oil conversion processes at Shell and at Akzo Nobel in development of refining catalysts. In 2006 he formed BIOeCON, focused on the economical conversion of biomass. BIOeCON has developed several breakthrough concepts, most recently a process towards selective biomass fractionation producing high value materials. In 2010 Paul formed ANTECY aiming to convert renewable energy directly into high-density liquids. ANTECY has developed technology for the capturing of CO2 based on a low cost and environmentally friendly non-amine sorbents.

Paul is an expert in heavy oil conversion processes and refining catalysts. Paul is co-founder of Antecy, this company has the mission to create the technology to convert solar and CO2 from the atmosphere directly into liquid fuels and/or chemicals.

Dr. Kimberly Magrini Bair is a Principal Scientist in the National Bioenergy Center and currently manages NREL’s Thermochemical Sciences and Engineering Group, which focuses on the development of catalytic approaches to biofuels production from syngas and pyrolysis products from biomass. She has 29 years of research and management experience in academic, industrial and national laboratory environments and has over 100 peers- reviewed publications, 2 patent applications, 1 patent and 125 presentations at national and international meetings.

Kimberly Margini research areas include catalyst development for syngas conditioning, hydrogen production, thermochemical fuels and chemicals production from pyrolysis liquids and vapors, power production, and rapid comprehensive characterization of soils and chars using pyrolysis molecular beam mass spectrometry. She is currently leading a team to produce hydrocarbon fuels via catalytic upgrading of biomass pyrolysis vapors using a Davison Circulating Riser (DCR) reactor system.
